The Akashic Records

+ What are the Akashic Records?

The Akashic Records are like a giant library that houses all the information of your soul’s journey through all time and space. Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “ether, space, or sky.” The root, kash, means “to radiate or shine.” Expert Linda Howe describes the Records as “a vibrational archive of every soul and its journey throughout time as a human. It contains your past, present, and even future possibilities and probabilities. It’s a great opportunity to access the spiritual perspective, the soul-level point of view. When we make this connection, it’s easier to see and know ourselves and others from the illumined and inspired perspective of the soul.” The Akashic dimension is an interface with the Divine (God) universal higher knowledge, enabling us to recount all our thoughts, intentions, and actions. Just as your mind elevates when you are in an intense dream- or meditative-state, entering the Records also raises your vibrational level so that you can feel, view, and perceive the energetic trail that is created each time we think or do something. Also known as The Book of Life, the Akashic Records show up in throughout history and in nearly every religion, described in the Torah, the Bible, the Koran, the Gnostic writings, the Aquarian Gospel, and even in Greek mythology.

+ Are the Akashic Records are religious?

The Records are very sacred and must be treated with a great deal of respect. A few examples of where they show up in sacred writings include Exodus 32:31-32: “Moses went back to the Lord and said, ‘Alas, this people is guilty of a great sin in making for themselves a god of gold. Now, if You will forgive their sin [well and good]; but if now, erase me from the record which You have written!’” In the New Testament, Paul writes in his letter to the Philippians (4:3), “Yes, I ask you also, my loyal companion, help these women, for they have struggled beside me in the work of the gospel, together with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.” The Aquarian Gospel sheds a great deal of light on the Records in 7:25-26: “This age will comprehend but little of the works of Purity and Love; but not a word is lost, for in the Book of God’s Remembrance a registry is made of every thought and word and deed, lo, God will send a messenger to open up the book and copy from its sacred pages all the messages of Purity and Love.” You don’t have to be religious to access, interpret, or experience the Records, but the Records can also be a gateway into a more spiritual life. Those who already have a religious foundation often testify that accessing the Records enhances their faith and deepens their connection with God.

+ How does it work?

There are several ways to access the Akashic Records, but my preferred method is through the Pathway Prayer, as this takes the reader directly to the heart of the records. Think of it like a library building: you can open the door and walk in, look left for fiction and right for non-fiction and browse through all the resources until you find what you are looking for, or you can teleport yourself directly into the card catalog (or computer database) and get the answers right away. Using the sacred prayer is like the latter, whether you are religious or not, and can help get right to the heart of what is on your mind. When in your records, we can communicate with the keepers of the records — your Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones: spiritual, light- and love-filled beings that have agreed to journey with and assist you in this lifetime, with the reader acting as a vessel, an interpreter between them and you. Keep in mind that someone can only enter your records with your permission, and when in the records you only have access to your records — not the records of your partner, friend, child, or co-worker. We can access answers to your relationships with them, but only as the content relates to you. Also, be assured that the records cannot be altered while you are visiting, but you can change the contents of your records after your visit by altering your behaviors and mindsets. Each reading is filled with nothing but light and love, and it can give you important information about how to live your best life using the best version of yourself.

+ Why and how often should I have my records read?

Having an Akashic reading can happen as often as is helpful. Whether it be a weekly, monthly, or yearly practice, new information can always be found. Every time a new thought, intention, or action takes place, the records are enlarged and enriched. There are perks to having them read often: because entering the records raises the vibrational level of both the reader and readee, each reading is a natural healing session. It gives opportunity to connect with and be inspired by the Divine as you delve into your past, present, and most importantly, your potential. Recommendations from the Records can help you create a healthier, happier, secure, brave, living, light-filled self. The Records can give you new, Divine insights, bringing you more into alignment with what your soul truly desires to lead a healthier, joy-filled life.

+ What will my reading be like?

Readings will always be catered to you and your specific needs for that day, especially if it is your first reading. Typically we will start by spending a few minutes making sure that you are relaxed and comfortable, answering any questions you might have. After your name and preferred pronouns are verified, the reader will say a sacred prayer (some of which is spoken and some is silent) which will take us directly to the heart of your records. Once the records are open, the reader will take a few moments to settle in, give first impressions of your records and explain the images, words, or feelings that they are experiencing. Then they will ask you for a question that begins with “who,” “what,” “when,” “where,” “why,” or “how.” Think of it like a conversation between you and the keepers of the records, and the reader is simply the interpreter. You can ask as many questions as time allows and engage in any conversation that is helpful. Get a pad of paper and get ready to take notes of all the wonderful information you receive!

+ Can the records predict the future?

Because humans have the power of free will, the records cannot predict the future. However, it is fair to ask about potential outcomes of different scenarios and guidance about how to proceed in various situations. Turning to the records in times of questioning can give you inspiration, motivation, healing, security, new information, well-being, and bravery to move forward with your unique gifts and talents.

+ What’s the best way to prepare for a reading?

At times you may know exactly why you want a reading, but it’s also OK to have a reading just to check-in with your guides. It is helpful to come up with an open-ended question (or several, depending on the length of your reading) that can shed light on your relationships, your career, your finances, your business, wellness and health, living situations, behavioral patterns, and more. [Important note: Akashic Records Practitioners are (usually) not Medical Intuitives, but may be able to connect you with other resources. Medical advice or diagnoses will not be given.] When it is time for your reading, find a quiet location, have a glass of water at hand, and dress comfortably.

+ How long are readings and what does it cost?

Readings can vary in time, depending on their frequency and the number and depth of your questions. Short readings are certainly possible, but the longer the reading, the more in-depth answers can be uncovered. + Are group sessions available?

Absolutely! In fact, your friends will have a ball at a private group reading! Readings can be done online or in person. Choose who will attend (up to 8 people) and agree on a topic or theme for your reading. If in person, you can also choose for individuals to have separate readings within the time frame. If this sounds like fun, assign one person to be the primary contact with us. Use the “Request and Connect” form to contact us and let us know a day and time that will work for the members of your group to gather for the reading; add the names and email addresses of everyone in your group in the comment field. When we gather for the reading, you will be able to ask any questions pertaining to your group.
